PGA TOUR: WGC-HSBC Champions at Sheshan International Golf Club in Shanghai, China, Thursday through Sunday.

LAST YEAR: Ian Poulter, riding the momentum from Europe's come-from-behind victory in the Ryder Cup, rallied from four strokes behind with a bogey-free, final-round, 7-under-par 65 to beat Phil Mickelson (68), Jason Dufner (64), Scott Piercy (65) and Ernie Els (67) by two strokes. Lee Westwood and Louis Oosthuizen, who shared the 54-hole lead, closed with 72s and wound up in a tie for sixth. Poulter surged into the lead with six birdies in the first 11 holes, including four in a span of five holes through No. 11. He overcame a bogey on the 17th hole to claim his second victory in the World Golf Championships; he previously won the 2011 Accenture Match Play Championship. Poulter claimed the 12th victory of his pro career, with four of them coming in Asia.

LAST YEAR: Tom Lehman birdied four of the last five holes to close with a 5-under-par 66 and claim a six-stroke victory over Jay Haas, becoming the first player to repeat as winner of the season-long Charles Schwab Cup points race. Lehman took control with scores of 63-62 in the middle rounds on the Cochise Course at Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., where Lehman first began working with instructor Jim Flick, who was battling pancreatic cancer and died a few weeks after Lehman's victory. Lehman, who earned a $1 million annuity for winning the Charles Schwab Cup and $440,000 for the victory, shot 22-under 258 to break the Champions Tour scoring record of 261 set by Jack Nicklaus in the 1990 Mazda Senior TPC. He also tied the tournament record for score in relation to par set by John Cook in 2009.

LPGA TOUR: Mizuno Classic at Kintetsu Kashikojima Country Club in Shima-Shi, Japan, Nov. 8-10.

LAST YEAR: Stacy Lewis came from seven strokes behind in the final round by shooting 8-under-par 64, carding birdies on the last three holes, to claim a one-stroke victory over Bo-Mee Lee of South Korea. Lewis, who claimed her fourth LPGA Tour victory of the season, holed a 25-foot birdie putt on the 16th hole, tied Lee with a 12-footer on the 17th and claimed the victory with another 25-footer on the final hole. Lee, who closed with a 72, had a chance to force a playoff, but her 35-foot birdie putt on the final hole ran past the hole. Lewis, who added three victories this year, including the Ricoh Women's British Open, caught and passed Lee by carding 10 birdies in the final round.
